NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Coach Nicole Dickson brings a lot of fresh faces to the SFA diamond. Her signing class this year has several transfers from Dickson’s previous head coach position at Tyler Junior College, where she led the apaches to an outstanding two conference championships and two NJCCA Division I National Tournament appearances. Coach Dickson and her staff of assistant coaches Audrey Farfan and Keith Stein have worked hard recruiting an all-star line up for the 2017 season.

Tanna Huie – Outfielder – Sophomore Transfer from Tyler Junior College
Huie also comes with many accolades from her previous years at Tyler Junior College. She was chosen for the All-Conference Region XIV East Frist Team Outfield and All-Region XIV First Team Outfield. Huie was selected as the Region XIV player of the Year in 2016. From NJCCA she was awarded the NJCCA All-American First Team, NLCCA/Marucci Elite Hitter District L, and the National Tournament All-Tournament Team. She was nationally recognized for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American First Team and the National Tournament All-Tournament Team 2016. Last Spring, Huie finished with nine homeruns off of 95 hits, and brought in 63 RBIs.
Coach Dickson: “Huie is a triple threat from the left side. She runs well and can also hit for power. Offensively she will add both depth and power to our lineup. She is a competitive kid who was one of the top offensive players in the nation for D1 NJCAA as a freshman last season hitting .528 avg.”
Good luck this season to Tanna Huie who is a former player of Vision Fastpitch coaches Martin and Kim Poole.
